Costume Warehouse and Archives Tour – 350 Douro Street, Stratford
Come and see the Stratford Festival Tour that has been over 70 years in the making! Explore, reminisce, and discover what decades of theatre history looks like as your guide takes you through the Costume Warehouse and Archives. You will walk you through “history in the making” as you learn how each prop and costume has defined our past and continues to revolutionize our future here at the Stratford Festival.
Finish your tour by exploring this year’s archival exhibit, Razzle Dazzle: Glitter, Glam and Glitz at the Stratford Festival. With a Chicago-inspired nod at the showgirls, glitter-gluttons and twenties’ darlings of seasons past, this fun display showcases the most sparkling pieces the Archives has to offer, including costumes, jewelry, props, designs and more.
Each tour lasts one hour and is accessible, but please note that there will be no opportunity to sit or rest during the course of the tour. Photography is restricted in some areas.
Stratford Festival Tours are available at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from June to October. Tickets are $12 in advance.
Set Changeover Tour at the Festival Theatre – 55 Queen Street, Stratford
Ever want to see how the magic happens? Ever wonder what tricks our designers, crew and technical teams have hidden behind the scenes? Then come and watch the crew transform the Festival Theatre stage as one production’s set is replaced by another. You’ll be guided through all the techniques and equipment used to create the perfect theatre environment for our guests each season.
Changeover tours begin after matinée performances and last about one hour. The tour is fully accessible. For safety reasons, all guests will be asked to remain seated in a designated area with their tour guide while the changeover is in progress.
Stratford Festival Tours are available from June to October on most days when a performance of Chicago is scheduled, excluding Sundays. Tickets are $15 in advance.
Tom Patterson Theatre Tour – 111 Lakeside Drive, Stratford
Catch your first glimpse of our stunning new venue on this guided 45-minute tour. Learn about its history, the architecture and all of the exciting possibilities that our new state of the art facility has in store for our audiences this season! Get a sneak peek behind the curtain and see the stage like you’ve never seen it before!
Tour route is accessible to those using mobility aids.
Stratford Festival Tours are available at 10 a.m. on Friday and Sunday mornings, from June to October. Tickets are $20 in advance.
